Unique Staircase Steps....

My staircase steps are looking dated and need a fresh coat of paint. I would like to go a bit farther than just adding another coat of paint. I want to do something uniquely different than the average stair steps. If you've read my blog long enough, you probably know I'm all about repurposing "stuff".
Some call it junk, I call it treasures.
I've been collecting yard stick for some time now, I think I know what to do with em'.

Most of us could use a little help getting organized. I've found some handy ideas most of us could use in our homes. What would you give to have someone come in your house with fresh ideas to help get you organized? I'm guessing it would cost a pretty penny. I can't offer a personalized home visit, but I've found some simple ideas (pictures included) to help get you started.

I've never met anyone who said they have enough storage space...I seriously love this idea and truly think I could pull it off. Just think of all the STUFF that could be stored out of the way...SHOES~ just to name one of many. In our home, they always seems to pile up in front of the door. With this AWESOME storage space, all those shoes would have a place and be hid with less clutter.... they'd be easy to find when you're headed out the door. Brilliant Idea!!!

........More shoe storage Girls. I'm thinking a dresser look-a-like could be placed in several different locations of the house...basement, walk-in closet, laundry room, bedroom, etc.

Speaking of organizing your shoes....why didn't I think of this simple brillant idea....SIMPLE, CHEAP, & EASY!

Another simple idea on my list of things to do.....
Simple, inexpensive and practical...my kind of project.

This might take a few more tools to install...If you're like me and know how to use power tools, this won't seem as intimidating. To finish this project you'll need a few 2x4's, 1X4's, nails (or) screws,a power drill, and rubbermaid totes.... it's not as complicated as it seems, but rather one awesome storage solution.

Simplify the task of laundry day-fold em' and place in each designated laundry basket.
Your Job is Done... giving our kids responsibilty and independance of taking care of their own clothes basket...

2011 Was a Busy Year

I mothered 2.5 teenage boys -the best part of my life, worked a full time job, (some days it worked me) completed many new works of art, attended my share of art shows, participated in a few craft fairs, managed to take a couple vacations and spiritually grew closer to God ...
I have to say,
"Life is Good".
Yeah, Stressful at times, but good....
Of course there were times I wanted to pull my hair out.. more times I wanted to pull my kids hair out. LOL..In the 365 days of this past year I can say I've laughed, I've cried, I've cried from laughing, I've gained a bit more knowledge of how to live life.."With Love in my heart and God in my soul".
These are the times that makes us stronger...

New Line of Jewelry

A few months back I seen a necklace made from old watch parts "Steampunk". I knew I was about to get myself in a new artistic journey. I searched high and low for old watch parts, vintage jewerly to repurpose, and anything else I could get my hands on.

Just as I expected, two months later I've completely emerged myself in learning and creating unique jewelry. It's been a bit of a challege, finding old watch parts and vintage jewelry findings isn't as easy as you'd think. Visiting antique shops, yard sales, and auctions makes the quest a bit more challeging and a whole lot more interesting. There's not many yards sales I'll pass up, and antique auctions are just up my alley.

I've always loved old dress forms, these too are very hard to find at a reasonable price, searched online and the cheapest one I could find was $150, I knew I was gonna need to get my hands dirty and make my own.....funny how when we want something bad enough we figure how to engineer a little riggen' here and there....

I wanted to add a little more detail. (My opionin, painting it would of just made it look tacky) Adding the old dress pattern couldn't of been any better. I don't know if you can really see it from the picture, I added dictionary words to different areas of the body to give it a little more detail. ( buttom, chest, breast, heart, waste, etc.) I ended up making two....and happy with how they turned out.

Another Successful Year.....

Every year I participate as a craft vendor in the Unicoi County Apple festival...and every year it's better than the year before. This by far, is my favorite festival, the people are friendly and the turn out never fails. I think they est. 200,000 people visit Erwin Tn. durning the Apple festival every year, that's a lot of people! Some come to listen to the music, or get their fix of Apple Butter & Fried Apple Pies, some make it an annual homecoming to visit friends and family, many come to enjoy the beautiful fall mountains colors, and others stroll down main street to admire the items handcrafted by local artist. I have to say; There's something about southern gatherings; southern hospitality lingers in the air, if it can be fried you'll find people standing in line for it and everyone you see is smiling and greeting eachother with "hi". What's not to love...........

This year I had the opportunity to move booth locations to a corner spot.... needless to say...I LOVE IT~ Corner locations are the bomb, you get traffic from all locations....you're able to sprawl out like a weeks wash and visible on all 4 sides vs just the front.
I decided since I was changing locations I was gonna need some impressive display tables....Me and my honey went hard at work and came up with 3 tables that made other vendors weep. LOL

I'm so happy with the way they turned out.

We were going for the look of a bit rustic, yet modern. Accomplished!.. There's a couple ammenties I'd like my honey to add; a dowel to hang issue paper for easy access wrapping fragil items, a cash drawer, and a shelf inside one of the side tables to store gift bags, etc.

A HUGE THANK YOU- I'd like to personally thank each of you that visited my booth, thank you for all your kinds words and supporting me as an artist. It fills my heart with joy knowing others admire my work, it feeds the passion that drives me.

When I come across old postcards I often find myself imagining the person who wrote a brief message to a loved one or friend while they were possibly on a adventure across the world. Was it a soldier, a daughter finding her way in the world, or a friend living her lifetime dream? Did this person make it back to where they started, or did you get lost in the way and never return? Re-Purposed Lamp Stand

I wish I took a picture of this old three tier lamp before I removed the light globes and electrical hardware...I originally planned making this a candle stand.Once I started taking eveything I didn't like on it and then painting it, I realized I'd like it better hanging my flowering baskets on.

Below: My creative side's full blown lately...I came across this simple planter...I instantly knew it would look great adding a strained of white string lights inside. I evenly distributed the lights by attaching them with small zipties.... simple, yet so pretty in the evening light up hanging on mu back porch..

Water Jug Water Feature Tutorial

Galvanized Water Jug Tutorial
OK, so I've been tossing around this idea of making a small water feature to display outside of my back porch...I wanted something simple, something I didn't have to sink a ton of money in....if you're like me, I have enough of those projects going as it is.

Then...Perfect timing, I found a small water pump at a yard sale this past Friday. Get this... for only a big $1 ~Score~
I already had the watering cans ( BTW: I never pass up galvanized water cans) then it dawned on me to make this fabulous inexpensive water feature. ....not to mention, it's fairly easy to put together...AND CHEAP....I'll say it again, CHEAP...

A few things you'll need to get started:

2-3 Galvanized Watering Cans.
Large Galvanized Tub or a 1/2 Barrel.
Small Water Pump
Water tubing ( suggest 6-8 feet @ 75 cent a ft.)
Hanging Brackets ( anything that can get the job done)
Power Drilll and Drill Bit

Getting started you'll want to find an area in your yard such as a fence or building to use as the support back drop. A landscaped area makes for a better surrounding. 1st thing; You'll want to place your large galvanized tub out far enough to catch the water flowing from the bottom water can. I suggest about 2 1/2 feet away from the fence or building. (don't worry about perfect placement at this time, you can adjust it later.)
Next, determine how high you'd like your 1st water jug. I placed mine approx. 5 ft. high. I found it best if you place the two water jugs about 2 feet a part. Once you've made your placement, you'll need to drill a hole in each water jug handle. This is a must, otherwise the jug could potently move, causing you to lose water and burn up your pump.

I attached the top bracket hanger to my fence and hung the jug. I personally like to step back to see if this will suit me...sometimes it's helps to step back and imagine the finish project.

Now you'll need to drill another, slightly larger hole in the back of your top watering can. (the exact hole placement doesn't matter because you'll run the water tubing through the hole and then through the watering spout.) By drilling a hole in the back of the watering can hides the tubing. The objectives to make this water feature look as though it's pouring water with no tubes attached.

these picture show the water tubing runs through the watering can and then through the spout.

Now you'll need to set your pole with concrete. I set mine at an angle so the water jug would be hanging at a sight angle.

The only thing left is the most tricky- adding your last watering can. You'll need to turn on the pump to see where the water flows. This will give you the exact placement to where you need to install the watering can. It also lets you know where to install the other hanging bracket. I marked the pole so I knew where to install the bracket and I also marked the water jug handle so I knew where to drill my last hole.

This little water feature has so much potential....

This morning I went to check the mail, on my way back in the house I noticed this beautiful rose bud, it must of bloomed over night...I thought to myself,
"Yes, spring is here.. thank you Lord".
I must say, I have the prettiest rose bushes in town..

I'll let you in on my little secret......"Banana Peels".. Roses LOVE banana peels. . It's kind of a joke at the house. I get upset when I see a banana peel in the trash. You know how we get when we have a good thing working for us. I'll ask, "Who threw away the banana peel? Some little rose bush is hungry".

With Spring in the air, I thought I'd check on my strawberries too ..Oh boy, these little preciouses' brought a smile to the face. I ♥heart strawberries...uummm strawberry shortcake on the mind, my mouth's watering just thinking about it..

So.. into old bottles~

I couldn't help but do two posts back-to-back on old bottles. I love em, I tell ya... Just recently I bought a bunch at a yard sale...I was so excited when I pulled up and saw the stuff this guy had in this front yard...he liked the same kinda things I LOVE...I could'nt believe he was selling these "Vintage Jewels" he said he found them under his house, he had so much stuff he was selling some of it to make room for more...Most of us junkers can relate to that...

This is what I spent most of my time doing yesterday...I'm on vacation this week, the kids are on spring break and I just needed a break- amen to that!

My Love Affair with Vintage Bottles~

~♥I LOVE Vintage Bottles ♥~

Most of us have something we're addicted to collecting...there is just something that draws me to 1, ok, maybe 2 or 3 particular things..One of my addictions is vintage bottles... truthfully, I don't know the difference between a $1 bottle and $500.....It's all about the look, the shape and the color, the value doesn't make a difference to me....

Depending on the shape and color I usually let the bottle speak to me, then I'll start playing around with applying different elements and color combinations to compliment the bottles color. I'll attach unusual items and add text, given it more character. I prefer leaving smaller bottles very simple, depending on their color and shape... grouping a collection together looks more interesting.

Here's an example of using unusual itmes to tie it all together. I transfered an old image directly on the bottle, along with some twine, old key, and a piece of washed up shell I collected while at the beach.

No matter where I may be, my mind is always in a state of creativity. I'll see something and pick it up, sometimes I don't know what I'll use it for, others times I'll instantly have an idea....many times I've heard, "What in the world are going to do with that?" ....or "You want that, what for?" I try to explain by setting an image in their head, but if they aren't another "Re-Purposor'" much like myself, they'll usually think I'm a bit crazy or an absessive hoarder....although I am not a hoarder; I know my boundaries-or maybe I hide it well :)

"The ALL American Flag"

We ~~have~~ had 100's of Tobacco stick in our old barn...I kept thinking; "there must be something I can think to use em' for".....Then it came to me....I knew just what to do with em', I'd make .."An All American Flag"
We'd been needing something to hang over our garage door...

After giving it some thought....why,.. it doesn't get more american than this.....
My fiance's grandfather was a farmer and grew acres and acres of tobacco is the 40's, 50's, 60's, & 70's.....Tobacco isn't grown much these days as it was several years ago..In years past the south was covered with tobacco fields....I personally have never grown tobacco, but I've heard many stories of the long hours and little pay...If this flag could speak, I bet it'd say there was a lot of sweat endured on these hand carved sticks. Triva: Did you know there's not a single company/factory in the USA that makes American Flags...sad huh?

This past weekend I managed to finish one of my many projects I've started and not had the time to complete. I've been working on a series of work titled "Recycle, Reuse, Re-Create." I'm one of the few artist who incorporates old windows panes in my work. ~TIPS: Advertising Your Yard Sale~
Lets face it; we could all use a little extra money selling items laying around our homes. It hard throwing something out knowing there's someone out there that could use your unwanted items.
"One mans junk, is another mans treasure."

Times are tough, I've put together a list of items to help you make your next yard sale more successful....---------------------------------------

***Make your signs BIG. From the main roads you'll bring the most traffic, Use a posterboard size -Don't cut it in half, you need to get as much attention as possible on the busiest road near your home.

***You need TWO big posters to catch the attention on your busiest road near your home. One for the traffic going one way, and one for the traffic headed the opposite way. A great way to do this is with a large A frame sign.

*Use balloons on your large signs. Catching a customers eye is worth using balloons. The more people that you can get to look at your signs, the more people you will have to actually turn off the road and head your way.

*Give your address & sale date on your signs. People look for a date, making sure they're not wasting their time looking for a sale that's not happening.

*Use one color of poster throughout your advertising campaign. If you go with a bright yellow poster, then every poster needs to be bright yellow. If you stay with one color, then traffic knows they are headed to the correct yard sale.

*Write BIG with Black marker. Make sure your posters can be read clearly from a long distance away. If they can't read your signs they won't be making it to your sale. Use BIG clear letters.

*Guide your traffic every 2 blocks with arrows. Remember that using the same color of poster board is key here.Think of the arrows as little reassurances that say "almost there" or "you are still on the right path." Remember, make it as easy as possible to find your sale.

*You need to post signs through out your town. Post signs at busy intersections or popular roadways. Also, advertise in your local paper or Craigslist.

*Advertise the sale as "HUGE," "NEIGHBORHOOD" or "MULTI-FAMILY." If you can get you neighbor to join in that makes your sale even better. You can advertise your sale as a Multi-family sale. This will catch the attention of your traffic.

*Post what your big items- "Kids cloths" or "Moving sale", "Lots Furniture" or "Tools" or Baby Items." Be specific if you have something that will be a hot item. For example: "Tools" or "Antiques."

*Allow your kids to sell drinks or cookies....customers love when young children are involved in the sale activites. Not only is it fun for the kids but helps them learn good customer service.

*Put a price tag on EVERYTHING. People do not want to have to ask how much something is for everything they may be interested in. People WILL get IRRITATED, they'll walk away from the sale instead of having to ask., if you have your prices clearly marked, then you'll have more people buying.

*Organize your items. Some people enjoy hunting for items, (Myself, I hate searching through piles of items) Don't lose customers that aren't the searching type. Place items on tables= keep tables of clothes look nice and neat. Hang as many items as possible on hangers. People would rather look through clothes on hangers than sorting through them on tables. Plus you'll save time in folding those cloths over and over again.

*If you are selling a kids play house, assemble it. If you are selling a bedroom suite, pillows,night stands, bedding set, set it up in your driveway like a bedroom. Remember, visually make it easy for customers to see what it may look like in their home.

*Have everything set up and ready the night before your big sale. You'll more than likely have early birds...arriving before the sale begins. If customers come and you're still setting up, you may miss out on a sales. It's annoying when people show up early and they begin rummaging through your stuff.-the point of having this sale is to get rid of your stuff.

*Don't forget to welcome your customers with a friendly smile and a "Good morning" greeting.

I'm all about giving unwanted items new meaning.....We have many items stored in our homes that have so much sentimental meaning to us, these items carry so many memories in our hearts, we're so attached we couldn't bare thinking of getting rid of them....

I found a post on "Diamond in the Stuff" Blog...They've take an old crib and turned it into a lovely bench....What a great idea for such an item we couldn't bare thinking of parting with...such an item we could dispalyed in our homes and enjoy for years to come. (possibly be shared and handed down for generations to come)

I found a pair of old cabinet doors at an estate sale last summer. I wasn't quite sure what I'd use em' for, but I knew I must have them. I knew eventually something would come to mind. The pair sat in my basement through the winter, patiently waiting for something marvelous to become of them..... this past weekend this image came to my mind, I knew just the piece to fit it perfectly... I'm visually attracted to this image. There's something so simple about it, but elegant indeed...

I'm so happy,... spring is finally here....goodbye winter blues and HELLO MR. SUNSHINE.
I've had a song in my head all day ..."Got my toes in the water, a-- in the sand, not a worry in the world......life is good today, life is good today" by Zac Brown Band.
My creative passion is burning within, I'm fired up with some creative love... many ideas, but not enough time to create em' all.....I'll settle for one at a time!
This past weekend we had beautiful weather....temps in the 80's...it felt much like summer....I like it, I love it, and want some more of it!

Is it Spring yet?.....I'm so ready for the sun to shine and the birds to churp once again....I know some of you love winter, but it's not for me. I always put on a few extra pounds, feel yucky, and get extra lazy. Sounds like the life of a bear...Sad to say, but I find I'm not as active in my creativity..... My mind constantly runs in motion with ideas of things I'd like to create... making note of each of them, so I won't forget later. As I slip in my my cozy bed each night I find myself thinking of what I got accomplished on a given day, only to remember 16 things I meant to do, but managed to not have the time. If I had enough hours in the day I would keep myself completely content in getting each of them accomplished, never getting bored-My problem isn't the creativity but rather the time. It kills me to sit at this computer M-F working for the thing we all need "INSURANCE" - wishing I was in my studio; where my heart is at ....

Another Festival has come and gone........
This year marked the 33rd Apple Festival,
It ranks top 20th for southern attractions. Each year it continues to grow larger than the year before. I love this town! It has everything you could expect for a small town; including what the south's known for- our southern hospitality. We like our
tea "sweet", apple butter and fried apple pies.
     This year was pleasant for me, I met a lot new people, and had many interested in my art. I sold much of my work; it's all worth the effort. I really enjoy this festival. Most of all, I liked connecting with other vendors and talking with those who came out to buy handcrafted items. (As I've said before "Support your local artist") It always feels good to meet people who appreciate and buy your work.

This booklet is super cool. There's several 12-14 postcard in the booklet. Images of Napoleon, this wife, children, and photos of several men who were ranked under him.I will try to scan actual photo's for this booklet in the near future.

I returned home late yesterday evening and some of my order arrived. I'm so excited. I didn't get in bed till after midnight....I'm guessing it will be another long evening tonight as well. I'm not complaining.......I did manage to get some old postcards scanned to upload this afternoon. I recently found these at a local junk store in my area. When I found em' I knew I was buying em'. If only I could read in French. Oh well.....

oh yeah, I almost forgot......My son made the newspaper last week. Here's a good way to get in some ink..
He came to me and asked if he could wear the Santa Suit stored in our basement downtown on his bike. I thought "Why sure, what's it gonna hurt" It looks as though it must of turned quite a few heads.
Santa in September? I went in to buy the paper, glanced it over, and thought this looks a little familiar. Yeah, my son........September Santa....

I recently ordered a new series of stamps....I'm so excited, I kinda feel like a little girl again waiting for her present to arrive....I came across this website online-
Oxford Impressions. They have a lot of unusual stamps....just what I like. I also order some new ink and paper form Tim Holtz - Idea-ology Collection. I can't wait till my packages arrives....I'll post pictures of my new creations soon enough.

I attended the Mt. Mitchell Craft fair again this year...I have a booth every year somewhere on the square. I really like this show, the people are nice and welcoming to artist and vendors. I've been an attending artist for the last 4 years and haven't had a bad turn out so far....the weather even cooperates.

I'm excited, I finally finished the New Middle School paintings I've worked on for the last couple months. They were huge! 4X4. I'm very happy in the way they turned out; the Director of Schools plans to have a newspaper article prepared commemorating the new school opening with an art work dedication....Hurray! I've been as Busy as a Bee....I'm currently working on two large paintings that will hang in my local area's new middle school. (I'll post finished pictures soon) I'm very excited to be the local artist who creates the art work..... Support Local Artist....I believe displaying local artist's work in Community Schools, Goverment Buildings, Libraries, Community Centers, Senior Centers, Welcome Centers, Chambers of Commerce, etc......Displaying local art builds heritage and gives the feeling of "HOME".

This project has consumed much of my spare time, but I've managed to create a thing or two.

Beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway

If you've never visited the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway you really need to make the trip. 469 miles from Virgina to North Carolina and worth every bit of the most beautiful view east of the Mississippi. You can see miles upon miles of some of Gods greatest work. When you're on the Parkway it's as though you're in another country, it's so peaceful and relaxing. We drove with the windows down to experience the fresh mountain breeze and fragrance of honeysuckle in the air. I needed a break from the hustle and bustle life can bring every now and then. This trip made me realize how I've missed being one with nature.

I've participated as a crafter in the Erwin, Tennessee Apple Festival every October now for about 15 years. Even though it's May, I'm in full swing working on items to display in my booth. If you know anything about the Apple Festivel, you'd know it's a huge event. People come from all around. I hope to see some of you there this year. I love the festival, there's always a big variety of vendors.

This is a recent piece I've finished. I love it, I almost want to keep it for myself......but I won't, it will be available in October, if not sold before.

In the past week I've took the time to make my very own "Blog Button". It took a little work to figure out, but it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. I googled for directions and came across another blog "A Heart for Home" http://a-heart4home.blogspot.com/2009/04/blog-button-with-text-box-for-code.html which had the HTML Code and instructions I needed to encode my blog.

From One Happy Mother to Another- Happy Mothers Day! I'm proudest to be a mother far more than anything else. Being a mother is the most rewarding thing in my life. Nothing compares to the sound of my babies say "Mommy". Even though my babies aren't babies anymore, they will always be "Babies in my heart". I protect them just as a mother bird protects her chicks...
Even though sometimes we feel a little Coo-Coo thoughs times we've stayed up all night with a sick, crying child, or the times we got all dressed up and then puked on just before walking out the door. Thoughs don't seem like cherished times at the moment, but later we laugh upon them......

I recently created this image for an altered book I'll soon be working on. I liked how it turned out so well, I've decided to share it with you. I hope you enjoy.

Numbers, letters and signs seem to be the lastest trend. I love them!!! I personally love mixing old with new. Hanging a collection of old numbers and letters almost has a modern look about it. They're hot, if you see em', grab em'. They won't last long.

I love old to use old post cards in my projects....ok, I like using any old ephemera in a lot of my creations. I'm currently working on an old window pane mixed media painting, I'm using old post cards and book pages on much of the background. I'll share a picture once it's complete.

Recentley I created these Civil War Collage Paintings. I found some remnant civil war money at a craft fair last summer and decided to create a civil war collage painting. My finance' loves anything to do with the civil war, after seeing these, he suggested we keep them for the house. But like so many other paintings, they don't last long in our house before they're sold to hang in someone's home.

I've been experimenting with some mixed media lately. I have to say, I'm faling in love and believe it may end up taking over my studio time. I find myself working (playing) late nights with no concept of time. This very thing is actually what directs us to pursue our dreams; creating art. As I've said so many times before, it's almost like an internal high or healing. There's times I can't focus on anything but my next creation. It can easily consume my life. I wish everyone could find their passion as I have. It's an amazing feeling to have the urge, need to create. Given a piece of myself each time.

Okay, so here's yet another way to display all your favorite memories......This is a neat way to reuse that crib you just can't seem to let go of. Even though your babies are growing up, here's a reason to keep their baby crib. This is a recycled crib mattress spring, along with an easel and many photos of memories. It's spruced up by adding tree twigs branches. My suggestion: Spray paint the frame and springs black or dark brown, and print black and white photos.

Use your imagination, make this one of lamp byusing simple items. Above the lamp was made with old creamers, desert plates, and tea cups. drill a hole in the bottom of the dishes and run a store bought cord or recycle one you already have. Also, make a lamp with your tree trimings- this looks great in a rustic cabin or a country house.

Depending on where you live you may see painted quilt squares going up on barns, buildings, business and even houses. It seems to be a new fad, especially in the south. I love em', they bring a new look to an old barn. Some little towns even have "Quilt Square Tours"
These quilt squares were painted directly on the barn.

I loved the way they look so much I decided to start creating them myself.

Finally Happy

I'm finally happy in my life. I'm still a work in progress, but much better than ever before and keep getting better. For the first time in my life I've realized " Don't sweat the small stuff" I live everyday with the concept " Less confusion is best" You see, I was in a very unpleasant marriage for 15 years. Two years ago I went through a very difficult divorce. The kind of divorce, I wasnt sure what the future had in store for me. There were times I didn't know the direction of my life. It felt as though I was on a merry-go-round. I wasn't sure of the direction I was going or how I would stop. Life seemed to be passing by. I'm thankful God never let me down. Two years later and things have settled down a whole lot. I'm dating a wonderful man, he's kind, gentle, and very understanding. Most of all, he respects me.

A fresh new start

I've decided to change my way of thinking. You see, I had always been in a bad relationship, my parents divorced, I went through a divorce, and I've struggled as a parent. I credited some of these things to the way I've thought in my past. It kinda like this; In the past, I've not let the goodness of God have this way with me. I've went through life thinking "This is what's in store for me, I'll do my best and ask for nothing I don't deserve" But I changed my way of thinking. I do deserve better; God has so much more to offer. It's my thoughts and actions that led my life to what it is today. I've been negitive in the past, In many ways I'm the one who's made my life the way it is. I continously had negitive thoughts follwed by negitive action. As I look back, I was a lot more negitive than positive. If something didn't go as planned or if something wasn't as I wanted, I'd think "This is never gonna change, same thing but another day." I went day after day, year after year thinking this way. I didn't expect any different. If only I could have pictured what I wanted in my mind and believed in it. God says you must believe, even if you can't see it. From today forth, I will expect God to grant me happiness, opportunities and success. He wants me to have these things. He wants me to be happy and live a good life. I have to do my part and show him by my thoughts and prayers that I'm worthy of great things. I'll ask for "Gods Favor".
The way we think is so important. Positive thoughts bring positive action, the same with negitive thoughts, bring negitive action. Thinking positively can't hurt, only make a better person.
